Today just felt like a donut day. My original composition didn't include the small areas of brown in the upper left and upper right corners. So, the napkin covered the entire background. I felt like I needed a dark area to counter-balance the dark frosting. My composition improved tremendously with those two small touches.

Hi Laurie, two of my faves - Dunkin is large in NYC..used to always hit that place on our way to the subway - when visiting my daughter and family. This painting is just perfect! 2 more days - yay!
