Overall, I think this is a very pleasing painting with the yellow and soft blue colors. I especially like how the butter knife came out in this one. Painting metal is always fun but can be tricky; it usually takes a bit of manipulation until I'm satisfied. The trick is adding enough darks so that the lights really pop.
This is so great! Fantastic job on the knife and the butter looks so real.
ReplyDeleteLove this. It reminds me of the first painting of butter I saw of Peggy Kroll Roberts at a Hilton Head Gallery. And you really nailed the values in the knife. Great painting.
